Transport and Logistics Manager

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, execution, and follow-up of transport flows – from daily operational operations to strategic procurements and contract issues. You will work closely with internal functions and external partners to ensure efficient, cost-conscious, and compliant transport.

This is a key role for you who enjoy having many parallel flows running and are driven by creating structure, profitability, and delivery reliability.

Your main responsibilities

Transport planning and operational execution
Coordination of daily transports and contact with suppliers, terminals, and ports
Delivery follow-up, deviation management, and real-time problem-solving
Commercial responsibility for freight negotiations, procurements, and supplier management
Ensuring compliance, documentation, and international transport requirements
Cost and performance monitoring
Reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement work

Your background

You have a degree or vocational training in logistics, transport, forwarding, or equivalent, and at least 5 years of experience in transport planning or forwarding. You have documented experience in negotiations, contract management, and supplier management and feel comfortable in commercial dialogues.

You have a good understanding of international transport flows, regulations, and complex logistics, preferably with experience in intermodal transport, breakbulk, terminal, and port logistics.

Systems & IT

Proficient user of TMS and ERP systems
Very good knowledge of Excel
Experience with Power BI, SAP S/4HANA, or similar is an advantage

Languages

Swedish – fluent in speech and writing
English – fluent in speech and writing
Additional languages are an advantage, especially German
