Construction Manager - Utility Works

About the role

At MSA Konsult, you will have the opportunity to be part of a competent and dedicated team working with permit-required utility works within the Swedish Transport Administration's road areas.

We are now looking for self-driven construction managers with experience in road maintenance and utility works in the field who want to contribute to ensuring that projects maintain high quality and are executed according to regulations. The work is project-based, where you will support the project managers and permit handlers of the Swedish Transport Administration, as well as utility owners and contractors.

Your main responsibilities

• You will support project managers in basic road maintenance and represent them before, during, and after the execution of utility works
• Ensure that utility works are performed and restored according to applicable permits and agreements
• Check traffic management plans, signage, and closures
• Be a technical support and advisor to project managers, handlers, and utility owners
• Participate in statements before and after utility works
• Contribute to good collaboration among all parties in the project

We are looking for someone who

• Works, or has worked as, a construction manager, site manager, project manager, or site supervisor
• Has several years of practical experience in road maintenance and utility works in road areas
• Enjoys working both in the field and administratively
• Is experienced in interpreting agreements and decision-making documents
• Is self-driven, structured, and has good collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Driving license B
• Documented competence for work on roads
• At least 3 years of experience as a construction manager, site manager, project manager, or site supervisor in utility installation in or near road areas
