We are now seeking an experienced resource consultant in water supply and drainage who wants to contribute to the development of the Swedish Transport Administration's investment projects. In this assignment, you will support the Transport Administration with specialist expertise in water supply and drainage, primarily working on projects in the Central region, but assignments in other regions may also be relevant as needed.
In this role, you will hold a key position in the Transport Administration's project operations, contributing technical expertise in water supply and drainage during both early stages and the implementation phase. The work is conducted closely with project management and other technical areas, focusing on developing robust, buildable, and long-term sustainable solutions in complex infrastructure projects.
The assignment includes, among other things:
- Managing, reviewing, and following up on design to ensure quality, buildability, and traceability
- Ensuring that solutions meet applicable requirements and guidelines, as well as being responsible for correct sizing and design of water supply and drainage facilities
- Participating in the development of governing documents such as tender documents, design instructions, and assignment descriptions
- Collaborating with consultants, contractors, adjacent technical areas, and internal and external stakeholders
- Working on the design of drainage solutions, such as ditches, drainage systems, stormwater systems, culverts, pumping stations, ponds, and water supply
- Being responsible for protective measures for recipients in various stages of the projects
- Following up on technical results during design, implementation, and handover
Mandatory requirements
All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.
- Have a master's degree in civil engineering in road and water construction, civil engineering, environmental and water technology, ecosystem technology, or other education and experience deemed equivalent.
- Work experience in the technical area of water supply and drainage for at least 10 years.
- Several years of experience leading investigation and design work in water technology and drainage, as well as developing technical solutions coordinated with other technical areas.
- Several years of experience in work requiring application of the Transport Administration's regulations related to water supply/drainage, including TRVInfra-00231.
- The consultant must have completed the following courses with a passing result: Work on the road
Travel in the service occurs, primarily to projects in production (approximately 1-2 times per month).
Assignment information
From the preliminary start date of March 2026 for up to 12 months from the date the contract comes into effect.
Option: The client has the unilateral opportunity to extend the contract with existing contractual terms for an additional up to 6 months, on two occasions.
Scope: Estimated occupancy rate of 80-100% of annual working time is intended to be 1700 hours.
The assignment includes work as a resource consultant in the Transport Administration's client organization, based in Borlänge/Uppsala/Gävle/Solna. This assignment requires physical presence at the Transport Administration's office for 3 days a week.
