Dentist for ST position in Dental Radiology

We are now looking for a dentist for an ST position to obtain specialist authorization in dental radiology. The ST training is conducted in collaboration with the Eastman Institute and is tailored to the individual dentist's needs.

Parts of the training will take place at the Eastman Institute in Stockholm and at the Department of Imaging and Functional Medicine at Östersund Hospital. However, the main part of the clinical service will be at the specialist dental care in Östersund.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be offered a developing and stimulating clinical service. Furthermore, you will participate in theoretical training conducted in the form of courses, lectures, and seminars with supervisors. The goal of the specialization service is for you to gain the competence required for the specialist assignment. The three-year training provides you with a broad academic and clinical perspective, as well as good insights into treatment, pedagogy, healthcare ethics, and leadership.

The ST position is funded by Region Jämtland Härjedalen. It is expected that after obtaining specialist authorization, you will work as a specialist within Region Jämtland Härjedalen. During the ST service, salary and certain benefits are provided that are linked to a commitment after obtaining specialist authorization.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a licensed dentist with at least two years of experience in both pediatric and adult dentistry. You have excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Furthermore, you should have demonstrated a goal-oriented interest in the specialty of radiology regarding both competence development and previous clinical service.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. The role of a radiology specialist requires high clinical maturity, social competence, and problem-solving skills.

Meritorious for the assignment is professional experience as a general dentist for up to five years, service at a specialist clinic under the supervision of a specialist for up to one year full-time, and scientific merits.

In the recruitment process, we will use the NSATS merit evaluation system. A work sample may be required during the recruitment.
