Elderly Care in Ekerö Municipality
The municipality operates two nursing homes; Ekgården in central Ekerö and Söderströmsgården in Stenhamra, as well as home care in its own management. We are proud of our employees and the services we provide for our elderly!
Job Description
We believe in you and your abilities – that’s why we give you great freedom in your role. Working in care is independent, fun, and developmental. Many who work with us appreciate the trust and responsibility they receive in our municipality, as it contributes to much learning and development in everyday life. Within Ekerö Municipality's elderly care, there is a staffing pool aimed at strengthening the operations and ensuring a stable staffing need. As a pool employee, you will work as a substitute during absences and cover for colleagues in both home care and the municipality's care and nursing homes.
You will work closely with individuals in need of care, support, and service. The work within home care or special housing for the elderly involves helping the elderly manage their daily lives. A large part of the work involves supporting and motivating the elderly to do what they can, to live as independently as possible. The care work consists of everything the residents need in their daily lives, such as laundry, assistance in and out of bed, and toilet visits.
Working in the pool means being flexible regarding assignments and workplaces, as you will work where you are most needed. You will work according to a schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends.
As an employee in the staffing pool, you will have a unique opportunity to deepen and broaden your knowledge in several areas of competence. Doesn’t that sound exciting?
