Deputy Store Manager at Coop

We are looking for someone who is passionate about sales and feels ready to help drive a successful grocery store. As a Deputy Store Manager, you primarily work as a Salesperson in the store, but with the significant difference that you are prepared to take on the role of Store Manager when the regular Store Manager is absent. The role offers great opportunities for those who want to grow in a responsible position, but it also places high demands on you as a person.

We see that you, as an applicant, not only have a business sense and a natural talent for leadership but also possess a pronounced sense of order and attention to detail, as the position also involves a fair amount of administration. You will face an exciting future, and we hope you are ambitious, unpretentious, and creative in your work approach and that you are a top-notch team player.

The role requires you to be structured and goal-oriented, and that you feel ready to take on greater financial responsibility. Together with your colleagues and the regular Store Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the store is sales-oriented, in constant development, and attractive to always exceed our customers' expectations.

We place great importance on your drive and desire to develop your leadership, as leading and developing employees is a significant part of your daily routine. To succeed in this, you must be able to communicate easily, be clear in your leadership, be inspiring, and use your social sensitivity.

We see that you have good experience from retail, so you know what it takes to create an effective and profitable operation. If you also have education and/or experience in handling the administrative tasks involved in running a store, that is a significant merit.

The position is a longer part-time contract (30h/week) starting in March 2026. Evening and weekend work may occur. The start date for the position will be agreed upon. Recruitment is ongoing, and the position may therefore be filled before the application deadline.

  • Previous experience in sales work in a store is a requirement.
  • Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, are a requirement.
  • Completed high school education is a requirement.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role is highly meritorious.
