Your role

We are looking for a driven and solution-oriented team leader for Spånga Sports Facility and Husby Ice Rink. Together with the unit manager and a workgroup of ten people, you will ensure that the sports facilities meet given requirements and maintain a high standard. You will lead and distribute the daily work at the facility and, in addition, have some administrative tasks that include supporting the unit manager with scheduling, time reporting, error reporting, and purchasing. As a team leader, you are expected to have an active role in identifying, following up, and developing routines and processes within the facility.

A natural part of your work will also be to participate in regular tasks at a sports facility such as maintaining artificial and natural grass fields, caring for ice rinks, and cleaning activity areas and premises. Your main placement will be at Spånga IP, but collaborations and, in some cases, work at several facilities within the unit will occur.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone who enjoys providing good service, communicates easily, and is ready to take on new tasks with enthusiasm. We see you as an initiator with a solution-focused mindset who thrives in both teamwork and independent work. Your unpretentious attitude, curiosity, and being an integral part of the team are what we value most.

We are looking for someone who has a B driver's license for manual transmission, a high school education or equivalent competence, and basic computer skills. But most importantly, your passion for making our visitors feel welcome and cared for.

Do you have previous experience working at a sports facility, cleaning, or in the gardening, agriculture, or nature industry? That is definitely a plus! But even more important is your readiness to dive straight into new challenges and learn new skills. Have you not operated an ice machine or tractor before? No problem - if you are ready to learn, we are ready to support you!

A few words from team leader and colleague Malin

I have the world's most fun job! I contribute to creating conditions for a diverse range of visitors to be active, which feels meaningful! For me, team spirit is incredibly important, and we always strive to make each other better!

Other

To provide Stockholmers with good accessibility, we staff the facility between 6 AM and 12 AM, 7 days a week, which means we work in shifts. We work 39 hours/week with day, evening, and weekend shifts.

For this position, we apply suitability assessment and will request an extract from the police criminal record (equivalent to a school extract) before hiring. Since the processing time can be long, we ask you to request a record extract here (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/skola-eller-forskola/).

Stockholm City works with competence-based recruitment aimed at considering each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
