Do you want to work in a wonderful team and help our citizens with their daily lives? The Care and Social Services Administration in Östersund Municipality is now looking for new employees for home care in Brunflo. We have a large home care area in Brunflo and surrounding areas where we walk, bike, or drive to our citizens and provide daily care. We have new, fresh premises where we have two teams working closely together, along with licensed staff, coordinators, and managers. With us, you will have a developing everyday life with strong collegial support.
We are now opening for 5 positions as nursing assistants or care staff. The working percentage is 80% with the possibility of extension within the administration. Working hours are scheduled for day-evening and weekend shifts. Some positions may be filled during the recruitment process, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
Your new job
As a nursing assistant or care staff in home care, you will work with personal care in the citizen's home. You will work to promote the physical, mental, and social health of the citizens you assist. Your task is to support the citizen and facilitate daily life. You provide personal care based on individual needs and perform delegated health and medical care tasks such as specific care and rehabilitation. The assignment also includes being a designated care contact, which means specifically being responsible for certain citizens and their care. You will collaborate with nursing assistants, care staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, district nurses, coordinators, and unit managers. Another important part of your tasks is to document in our operational systems.
Common tasks
- Assist citizens with personal hygiene and basic care
- Support during transfers
- Help with dressing and undressing, including compression stockings
- Preparation of light meals
- Administration of medication according to medical delegation and prescription
- Various types of sampling and routing
- Care of urinary catheters or stomas
- Simple wound dressing
- Documentation
Your qualifications
Requirements:
- Previous experience in elderly care
- Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
Meritorious:
- Trained nursing assistant
- Experience in home care
- Experience from municipal health and medical care
- Experience as a contact person
- Good computer skills
- Driver's license
- Access to a personal vehicle for easy transportation to and from the workplace
