Our Operations

In the infectious disease unit, adult patients with severe infections, infectious diseases, tropical medicine diseases, and immunodeficiency diseases are treated. Infectious diseases have an interesting aspect in that we can follow the development through human history and its global connections, where you meet patients of different ages and life stages. We are an acute care department where all patients come in via the emergency department or the infectious disease clinic. Infectious disease care often involves solving puzzles in teams from a person-centered perspective.

We work in teams around the patient, and the department has several functions that support the work around the patient. On the department, there are nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, clinical pharmacists, departmental pharmacists, dietitians, receptionists, staffing coordinators, educational nurses, nursing leaders, and quality coordinators.

Your Qualifications

You are a nursing student who has completed semester 4. We prefer that you are curious and enjoy learning new things. You should also be positive and enjoy working in a team. We work with the patient in focus, which requires you to be attentive to the individuals in front of you.

Your Role as a Nursing Assistant

As a nursing assistant, you work together with nursing assistants and nurses in a care team. You perform standard nursing assistant tasks in basic care and assist the licensed nurse in their work with specific care. As a nursing assistant, you always work under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

We Offer

We offer a full-time summer position. Your position will involve day, evening, and weekend shifts. You should be able to work 7 weeks with us, including orientation. Start date according to agreement. There is also the possibility of continued hourly employment in the fall. For nursing students, there is also the opportunity to receive a study salary during semester 6.
