Kvarnbacken is a special accommodation located in Tannefors and is divided into 3 floors with 44 patients. Currently, Vardaga is the responsible care provider at Kvarnbacken, and on September 1, Norlandia will take over the responsibility as the care provider at Kvarnbacken. The position includes an offer to follow along during the contract transition with Norlandia. The PAS responsibility for the patients is shared between 2 nurses.

About the role

You are responsible for health and medical care interventions for the patients and work to provide quality of life. You are responsible for ensuring that medical prescriptions are followed. You regularly conduct risk assessments and follow-ups to ensure good quality at Kvarnbacken.

Collaboration and support

You are part of a team with care staff, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. An important role for you is to guide and educate the care staff so that together you provide each resident with the best possible life. You work closely with the care staff to create meaningfulness in the daily lives of the patients. To create security and clarity for you as a nurse, there is extensive support in the form of clear routines, governing documents, and checklists. Understanding the residents' wishes and noticing small changes in their health and medical conditions is often crucial for accurate assessments and decisions.

Your experience and knowledge

You are a licensed nurse, and we prefer that you have worked for a few years in elderly care. Our residents are often multi-sick, which requires you to have both a broad understanding of various diseases and conditions as well as an interest in the aging person. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are important.
