Summer Job as a Tourist Host in Nora

Are you passionate about providing great service? Do you have good local knowledge about Nora and Bergslagen? Then this could be a summer job for you! The Tourist Unit is currently looking for tourist hosts for the summer.

At the tourist office in Nora, we work to help visitors find activities, accommodation, experiences, and attractions that suit them. Nora Tourist Office is a year-round Tourist Center authorized by Visita. During the summer season, Nora Tourist Office has about 20,000 - 25,000 visitors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of a tourist host primarily involves informing and inspiring, providing excellent service and hospitality to our visitors, both on-site here in Nora, via phone, and in digital media.

Your tasks will include selling souvenirs, cash handling, and some administration. You will be in contact with our guides and the tourism industry in Nora. We are authorized as a Tourist Center, which means we provide local, regional, and national information to visitors. You will receive a good introduction and training together with your colleagues.

During the peak season, the Tourist Office is open every day of the week, which means weekend work is included.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you should have good knowledge of Nora, Bergslagen, and Sweden. You speak and write fluent Swedish and English. Additional language skills, especially in German, are an advantage. It is important that you have good social skills, are quick to learn, are stress-resistant, and are willing to take initiative. You need to be computer literate.
