Are you interested in working in a rural area with developing tasks? We are currently looking for a nurse for our health center. Arvidsjaur's health center is a distinct rural health center with dedicated and supportive colleagues and a forward-looking approach to developing care with the patient at the center. In the heart of Lapland, you will find a calm and safe place where you have the freedom to explore and discover magnificent nature among sparkling lakes, snow-covered mountain peaks, and deep forests. Those who have moved to Arvidsjaur municipality have primarily fallen in love with the nature, the people, and the quality of life that exists here.

We are looking for

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing at C1 level and computer skills. It is advantageous if you have a specialist education as a district nurse, or education and experience in working with your own clinic in asthma/COPD, AK, diabetes, heart failure, and/or blood pressure. Previous experience of working in a health center, with coordination, or first-line mental health is also advantageous. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You are self-driven, proactive, and structured. The health center consists of cross-functional competencies that all collaborate and have the patient at the center, a working method that requires good cooperation skills among the staff.

This is what you will work with

Arvidsjaur's health center is a rural health center with a medical clinic, district nurse, nurse, and nursing assistant clinics, a psychosocial team with counseling, maternal and child health care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, foot care, as well as a laboratory and radiology. In addition, we also have operations around the clock with an emergency clinic and a general medical ward with 6 beds. The health center also has an ambulance station that partially works integrated into our operations. At the clinic, we work in teams around the patients. In the team, you will work as a nurse together with doctors, nursing assistants, healthcare administrators/medical secretaries, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists with the patient at the center. In primary care, we are the hub of the patient's care and we work with a focus on continuity, hence care coordination and a fixed care contact are central.

The tasks included in the work as a reception nurse include, among other things, counseling, digitally and via phone, coordination and booking, emergency clinic, and reception visits. During the planned reception, you will handle, among other things, wound dressings, care of central accesses, KAD, and stomas as well as medication administration. You also have an open reception where you meet and assess patients with new complaints. As a nurse in primary care, you are also responsible for annual check-ups and follow up patients with our most common diagnoses. All nurses have follow-up visits for hypertension and you will also get to deepen your knowledge in, for example, diabetes, asthma/COPD, heart failure, or anticoagulants.
