SSAB in Finspång is looking for a summer substitute as a production planner for the GreenCoat® production – a step towards a greener future. Apply today!

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the future of our planet and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for our societal development and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges that connect our cities, and in tomorrow's cars. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. Therefore, we have developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and have committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thus contribute to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

As a production planner at SSAB in Finspång, you will be an important part of a team of three people who together are responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient production process. The role is administrative and central to our operations, and you will:

  • Plan and manage materials: Place orders for steel and paint in the system based on forecasts and current needs.
  • Handle order management: Ensure that incoming orders are complete and supplement if necessary.
  • Work with production follow-up: Analyze and manage production outcomes.

The working hours are daytime, from 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM, with the possibility of flexibility.

The employment period is flexible and can last until August 14, 2026, at the latest.

Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis. Please indicate in your application which period you are available for.

About you

  • You thrive in a dynamic work environment and have the ability to handle both planning and unexpected changes.
  • You are flexible and can quickly adjust plans in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
  • You are motivated by combining simpler tasks, such as ordering materials, with more complex challenges like optimizing production flows.
  • You are computer literate and have good knowledge of both Swedish and English.
  • You have experience in administrative work, preferably within logistics or production planning.
  • You have the ability to plan and prioritize work based on both customer and production needs.
  • You have a willingness to collaborate closely with colleagues and contribute to the team's success.
  • If you have experience with logistics programs or an education in logistics, this is a merit.

Our offer

At SSAB, diversity and inclusion are part of our culture. We use our values – driving, genuine, and one step ahead – in our daily decision-making, always with the customer in focus. This makes us all team players, with a common goal of improving ourselves. When you start at SSAB, you become part of an organization with passionate problem solvers who work together on important challenges. We will support your growth by offering a safe and friendly workplace that contributes to the balance between work and private life.
