About Us

The Specialist Center for Children and Youth is part of Angered Local Hospital. We consist of two equivalent clinics, one in Angered and one in Gamlestaden. We are about 80 employees working at both clinics. The team consists of psychologists, specialist doctors in pediatric and adolescent medicine, child psychiatry, and neurology, pediatric nurses, social workers, speech therapists, dietitians, special educators, as well as medical secretaries and receptionists. Here, motivated and development-oriented employees work together to provide specialist healthcare based on the medical and psychological needs of children and adolescents. We meet children aged 0 to 18 years, often with complex issues that include medical, social, and psychological aspects. Our clinics are open Monday to Friday during the day, and most visits are planned.

We now want to expand our wonderful clinic in Angered and are looking for a licensed psychologist with broad experience in neuropsychiatric assessments. In your work, you will primarily conduct neuropsychiatric assessments but also provide interventions. In addition, you will assess mental health and participate in one of our multidisciplinary teams around children with medical diagnoses. The operation also has a public health responsibility and works closely with municipal services. You will be offered supervision together with your psychologist colleagues.

Responsibilities

As a psychologist, you are part of the team. Your work primarily involves conducting neuropsychiatric assessments, providing treatment interventions, and making evaluations. Assessments and evaluations are conducted in accordance with jointly developed templates, supporting documents, and regional guidelines. Much of the work is done together in our multidisciplinary teams. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other staff and managers.

About You

We are looking for a licensed psychologist with a strong interest in working with children and youth and their families. A requirement is that you have experience and feel confident in independently conducting assessments and evaluations of children with developmental neurological disorders. You need to have prior clinical experience working with children and adolescents.

Since the work involves collaborating with parents, various professionals, and other caregivers, good collaboration skills are required. You work in a structured manner, are clear and organized, while also being flexible in your approach.

To thrive with us, you need to enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams but also be able to work independently. You need to master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
