We provide health-promoting and therapeutic interventions based on each individual's unique needs and circumstances, and we have specialist knowledge about how disabilities can affect daily life, health, and development.

Description

In December 2025, a new clinic within child and youth habilitation opened in the Gothenburg area; Habilitering Mölndal, focusing on children and adolescents with permanent movement disabilities.

The facility is located in newly renovated, bright, and beautiful premises in Pedagogen Park. The catchment area includes central Gothenburg, Askim, Frölunda, Högsbo, Mölndal, Partille, and Härryda.

We are now looking for a speech therapist for a temporary position, as one of our speech therapists will go on parental leave in May. The temporary position lasts for just over a year and the working rate is 100%.

Job Responsibilities

As a speech therapist, you will work with assessments and treatments of speech, language, and communication disorders, oral motor skills, eating and swallowing difficulties, and prescribe certain aids. The work involves everything from mapping, diagnosing, treatment to follow-up. You will conduct assessments and treatments both independently and in collaboration with other professionals within habilitation. The assignment also includes group therapy.

You will be part of a habilitation team at the workplace. The team includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, special educators, speech therapists, psychologists, social workers, and nurses. Collaboration with dietitians and doctors at Habilitering is also common. You will be offered orientation, collegial supervision, and professional development work with other speech therapists within Habilitering & Hälsa.

Qualifications

Applicants should be a licensed speech therapist. Experience in assessment and treatment work with children and adolescents with disabilities within the habilitation target group is an advantage. Knowledge of AAC is a plus. You enjoy working in a team but also independently. Since the job involves collaborating with parents, various professionals, and other healthcare providers, strong social skills and the ability to collaborate are essential. Personal suitability is highly valued. As travel is involved in the position, a driver's license (B) is desirable.
