The Infectious Diseases and Dermatology Clinic is a clinic in constant development where we are challenged by new goals.

The clinic has its operations well gathered in its own building in Karlskrona. We work with the patient in focus and with competence development to provide the best care for our patients. The Infectious Diseases and Dermatology Clinic at Blekinge Hospital consists of a care department, an infectious diseases outpatient clinic, and a dermatology outpatient clinic.

About the Job

Ward 61 has 21 beds distributed across three teams. Each team consists of a doctor, nurse, and nursing assistant who work closely together. We care for patients with various forms of infections, such as pneumonia, sepsis, tuberculosis, and COVID-19. The department also cares for inpatients with ear, eye, and skin conditions, and physiotherapists and occupational therapists are also connected to the department.

The employment currently includes shifts during the day, evening, and weekends.

Your tasks will consist of common duties as a nursing assistant, such as care work, contact with relatives, documentation, sampling, assisting the ward doctor during examinations, etc.

In the department, we work in teams, consisting of nurses, nursing assistants, and care assistants. Supporting the care teams are the department manager and coordinator.

The department continuously works to create a good working environment so that you as a nursing assistant have the time and opportunity to focus on and plan your tasks.

About You

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant; it is considered an extra merit if you have emergency care training. For us, it is a given that you are meticulous in your nursing assistant role and take care of patients based on their different needs and provide them with good service. As a person, you are engaged, proactive, stress-resistant, and flexible, as well as open to new challenges and opportunities. We also want you to value a work environment characterized by personal responsibility, participation, and good cooperation between colleagues and the nearest manager with a focus on the patient's best interests.
