Medical Technology Engineer

We are looking for a medical technology engineer with an interest in continuously improving the delivery of care with the patient's best interests in focus.

Medical Technology consists of 41 engineers who work with service and maintenance of medical technology equipment and systems used in all areas of Södersjukhuset. We also have agreements with external customers such as ambulances and other healthcare providers. Medical Technology is responsible for creating conditions for safe care for patients, staff, and others from a medical technology perspective. We do this through our core processes and quality management systems. We also play a key role in the digitalization journey Södersjukhuset is undertaking to ensure good and accessible care today and in the future.

Responsibilities

As a Medical Technology Engineer with us, you will work in a varied environment with a lot of problem-solving, in close collaboration with healthcare and suppliers. We are responsible for the operation and maintenance of a large number of different equipment and systems. You will work with installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medical technology equipment. Your main task as a medical technology engineer is to be responsible for service, maintenance, and installation of network-connected medical technology equipment and hospital-wide systems. You will have the opportunity, after completing an introduction and training, to work with infusion pumps, defibrillators, patient monitoring equipment, ECG equipment, CTG devices with associated storage systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in medical technology, or alternatively, practically acquired knowledge deemed relevant. Good knowledge and understanding of computers, networks, and related data collection systems. It is important that you are proficient in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Other preferred qualifications:

• Experience in service and maintenance of medical technology equipment
• IT skills such as networks and DICOM
• Management of MT equipment and software

It is an advantage if you are a certified medical technology engineer according to MTF (the Association for Medical Technology and Physics).

Employment Type:

Temporary position until December 31, 2026, working hours Mon - Fri 40.00 hours/week. Flexible hours apply.
