At AFRY Advanced Automation in Stockholm, we have built a strong project operation in automation, and now we are taking the next step! We are investing in further growth within project deliveries while continuing to develop our successful consulting business. This means more exciting assignments, greater responsibility, and even more opportunities to influence the future industrial solutions.

Your Role with Us

As an automation engineer, you will be a key player in our projects, from feasibility study to commissioning. You will:

• Program and configure control systems
• Participate in the renovation of existing facilities
• Drive new turnkey projects from start to finish

In the long run, we hope you will take on a more leading role and act as a mentor for junior colleagues. The role evolves with customer needs and your strengths – therefore, flexibility and drive are crucial for success.

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced automation engineer who wants to drive advanced automation solutions at AFRY. The role suits you if you consider yourself mid-level/senior and have several years of experience in automation and a relevant education or equivalent work experience.

You are self-driven, proactive, and thrive in project-based teams where you take responsibility for complex projects. We value your problem-solving ability, your business-oriented approach, and your ability to build good relationships. With us, you will work closely with clients and colleagues on exciting assignments across various industries.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in automation
• Relevant education or equivalent work experience
• Experience from industries such as automotive, process industry, water & waste, or energy & heat
• You are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Driver's license B
• Knowledge and experience with systems such as: SIMATIC PCS7, ABB 800xA

Meritorious

• Experience from Pharma/Life Science or manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of systems such as: AVEVA System Platform, Siemens TIA, and other DCS/PLC/SCADA systems
• Experience with older ABB products such as AC450 and MP200 as well as system upgrades
