Urology Clinic in Östergötland
The Urology Clinic in Östergötland is part of the Center for Surgery, Orthopedics, and Cancer Care (CKOC).
The clinic is responsible for patients and residents in the Region of Östergötland and serves as the regional clinic for the Southeast Healthcare Region, with a total of 1 million residents. Our units are located in both Linköping and Norrköping. At the outpatient clinic, we conduct investigations of benign and malignant urological issues and perform a number of minor surgical procedures. We also manage follow-ups for a large group of patients who have been treated for urological cancer.

Job Description
As a contact nurse, you are responsible for ensuring that the care provided in each situation meets the right quality and is based on the individual needs and resources of the patient. You will run your own clinic and participate in certain doctor visits. You are flexible and can adapt to each given situation. You will work with advice in our telephone service and 1177. In the team at the outpatient clinic, you collaborate with nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors to foster a positive climate in the workplace. We offer permanent employment in outpatient care, and if there is interest, we can offer rotation to inpatient care if needed, which can enhance your skills.
Work Group
In our unit, nurses with extensive experience in urology work. We are trained general nurses, specialist nurses, urotherapists, stomatherapists, and cystoscopists. The team also includes nursing assistants, medical secretaries, doctors, social workers, physiotherapists, and dietitians. As a contact nurse, you will be part of a specific diagnosis group together with doctors, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. You will run your own clinic with experienced colleagues, and there are great opportunities for professional development.
About You
We are looking for a licensed nurse with a strong interest in surgical/urological care. You are an experienced nurse and should have worked for at least 2 years in healthcare. It is advantageous if you have a degree in urological nursing, incontinence courses, or experience in urological or surgical care. We also consider it an advantage if you have worked in outpatient care and have experience with the Cosmic journal system, the TeleQ callback system, and the Office suite. Since you will be communicating with patients, relatives, and colleagues, it is important that you have good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing.
You are calm and secure, can adapt to changing circumstances, and can vary your approach. To thrive and fit in with us, your personal qualities are important. The work requires personal responsibility, coordination, flexibility, and good communication skills. You find it easy to collaborate and have the ability to work both independently and in a team with other professional groups. We expect you to have a positive and professional attitude in your work with the patient in focus. You listen, communicate, and solve problems constructively. You are meticulous and quality-conscious.
