The Role of Trainee Nurse

As a Trainee Nurse, the work is varied and suits you who are curious and enjoy trying new things! The role is ideal for newly graduated nurses who have not yet decided which area they want to work in, as well as for those who want a broad competence before starting their “dream job”. The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement.

As a Trainee Nurse, you will have the opportunity to gather experience from different departments and pass on good working methods to new placements. You will gain insight into many different operations and grow and develop in your role as a nurse. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to build a valuable network within Värnamo Hospital. During the two-year trainee period, you will work six months in these four areas:

• Medicine
• Surgery
• Psychiatry
• Orthopedics

There is also the possibility of a final placement in the Emergency Department.

Your Future Workplace

At Värnamo Hospital, specialized care is provided – both planned and acute – for diseases and injuries that cannot be investigated or treated at primary care centers. The hospital has about 110 beds, which means it is just the right size to offer a pleasant and collaborative environment, as well as a broad range of services. We have several newly renovated care departments, and we have a modern dialysis unit and an equally modern ambulance intake. Additionally, the facilities for the surgery and intensive care clinic are newly built.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a newly graduated, licensed nurse. You do not need to have your license to apply for the position, but you must have received it before you start your employment with us.

To thrive as a Trainee Nurse, you are someone who easily adapts to changing circumstances and enjoys varied tasks. You have good collaboration skills, are proactive, and take responsibility for both your own tasks and the overall situation. Working independently is something you excel at, as you can prioritize your tasks effectively. We place great importance on good collaboration skills and personal suitability.
