The Role of Caregiver

Dept E is an inpatient unit focused on addiction and dependency. We are a regional resource that works with the 13 municipalities in the county and have 16 beds available for patients aged 18 and over with varying psychiatric issues.

Here, we work with team care, where nurses collaborate with caregivers, and patients have access to treatment methods such as supportive conversations, medication treatment, ear acupuncture, etc. As a caregiver with us, you will participate in all stages of the care process and follow the patient from admission to discharge. In this role, you are also an important part of developing materials for your own and the organization's development to maintain or improve patient and customer satisfaction.

The position is a temporary contract from May 1 to December 31. Working hours are scheduled according to a rotation schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and nights.

Your Future Workplace

The psychiatric clinic in Jönköping is one of the largest clinics in the county, providing both outpatient and inpatient care within specialist psychiatry. The clinic has seven outpatient clinics, five inpatient units, an administrative unit, and a psychiatric emergency department that offers emergency assessments around the clock. The clinic provides psychiatric specialist care for residents over 18 years old. Parts of the clinic are also a regional resource responsible for psychiatric intensive care, addiction treatment, forensic psychiatry, and emergency services handling urgent cases within both adult and child and adolescent psychiatric clinics.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a trained caregiver or nursing assistant. Experience in psychiatry is an advantage.

As a person, you are proactive and organize your work independently. Enjoying teamwork is important as we largely work in teams and collaborate across professions. You have an empathetic ability and can understand others' perspectives to best meet our patients and provide the best possible care. Personal suitability is highly valued.
