The Role of the Nurse

Ward E is an inpatient ward focused on addiction and dependency. We are a county resource working with the 13 municipalities in the region and have 16 beds that accept patients aged 18 and older with varying psychiatric issues.

With us, we work with co-care, nurses together with caregivers, and patients have access to treatment forms such as supportive conversations, medication treatment, ear acupuncture, etc.

As a nurse with us, you will participate in all steps of the nursing process and follow the patient from admission to discharge. Furthermore, you will contribute to the implementation of care and treatment plans and coordinate patient treatment in collaboration with others in the team.

We offer a permanent full-time position. Working hours include days and nights with evening and weekend shifts.

Your Future Workplace

The psychiatric clinic in Jönköping is one of the largest clinics in the region with both outpatient and inpatient care within specialist psychiatry. The operation has seven outpatient clinics, five wards, an administrative unit, and a psychiatric emergency department that offers emergency assessments around the clock. The clinic provides psychiatric specialist care for residents over 18 years old. Parts of the clinic are also a county resource responsible for psychiatric intensive care, addiction care, forensic psychiatry, and on-call operations where we handle urgent cases within both adult psychiatric clinics and child and adolescent psychiatric clinics.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed nurse for one of our psychiatric inpatient wards, Ward E. Having a psychiatric focus in your education and/or previous work experience in psychiatry is seen as a positive but is not a requirement.
