Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions
We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
We see you, we hear you, you learn!
We are building on! Betty Pettersson's high school in Enskede opened its doors in August 2022.
We are the community-oriented and inclusive high school that embraces the world and highlights the individual. Here, students can study higher education preparatory programs and are guided towards their and our shared future.
The school's guiding principles, regardless of program and focus, are; human, world, and future, MOF. We are a real high school where everyone has the opportunity to be part of the whole, and there is ongoing active work to create and facilitate student participation.
We know that skilled and present staff are crucial for students to succeed in life and that the school thus succeeds in its mission. If you think like us, you might be the kitchen assistant we are now looking for at Betty Pettersson's high school for the continued development of the school.
In the fall of 2026, the middle school (grades 7-9) will move into our premises, and we will have shared spaces such as a dining hall, café, lounge, etc.
Your role
In January 2026, we finally opened our own kitchen in completely renovated premises.
We are now looking for a kitchen assistant to strengthen the existing team. In your role as a kitchen assistant, you will work on a rotating work schedule with varying tasks, including work in the school's café operations. We currently serve about 450 portions in our school restaurant, and by HT-26, we will prepare about 1200-1500 portions every day.
The food served in the school restaurant must always be good, appealing, modern, and healthy. Together, we work to reduce climate impact, food waste, increase the proportion of organic food, and develop school meals. School meals are important for students to have a good school day and academic results.
An important task is to work with service and reception and to ensure that the city's guidelines regarding school meals are followed. In the role of kitchen assistant, you will also contribute to a positive, developing, and sustainable work environment in the kitchen.
The position we offer is a permanent position.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone with documented upper secondary education in the food program or experience in the profession that has provided equivalent knowledge.
- You have knowledge of the school law's requirements for nutritious food.
- You have documented experience working with self-control and HACCP.
- You are self-driven, enjoy responsibility, and can work in periods of high tempo.
- You are responsible and willing to both learn and think outside the box.
- You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
- You have basic computer skills.
- You interact with students and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner.
- Experience working in a school kitchen is an advantage.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The city of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competencies and thus counteracting discrimination.
