In Upplands-Bro municipality, we are about 2000 employees working to provide our residents and visitors with the best possible service and experience of the municipality. Within the Meal Unit, we plan, prepare, deliver, and serve meals to schools, preschools, and meal boxes for home care.
Every day, approximately 4500 portions are prepared. The staff of the Meal Unit is distributed across ten kitchens, including one production kitchen with delivery, six production kitchens, and three reception kitchens. We are now looking for an engaged chef who wants to help develop our menus, create sustainable and nutritious meals, and inspire our diners every day.
Job Description
In the role of chef, you will prepare delicious, nutritious, and individualized meals. In your role, you see the whole picture of the operation, and part of your time will be spent monitoring trends, updates, and new findings within public meals as well as in the private sector. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that all guests, including those with allergies and special diets, receive the food they need, while also exceeding their expectations. You care about the environment and prefer to work with organic products. You will meet our guests, relatives, and other colleagues in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent service.
We are looking for someone with
- A three-year restaurant and large kitchen education at the high school level or equivalent.
- Previous experience working as a chef.
- Good collaborative skills.
As a person, you are attentive, flexible, and cooperative, and you want to provide the best service and quality to our guests.
Have you just graduated from culinary school? Or perhaps you have retrained and are curious about public meals? This could be a great opportunity to apply.
It is an advantage if you have worked in restaurant kitchens and have experience in the public sector.
