Villa Foresta is looking for a Conference Host

Villa Foresta is the original name of the castle built by entrepreneur Wilhelmina Skogh in 1910. We have now embarked on a new era with the ambition to recreate a vibrant meeting place for gastronomy, music, meetings, experiences, and a living room for all of Lidingö. Timeless, worldly, and cultural are our guiding principles – we are now looking for you who want to help create experiences for people who enjoy the good things in life.

About the Conference Host position

You will be the one welcoming our guests who are having meetings, conferences, and events with us, ensuring they receive the best service during their stay. You will show them to their rooms, arrange refreshments, and assist with any technical questions that may arise throughout the day. You will set up the rooms according to requests and ensure good collaboration and communication with other departments in the hotel. You will work closely with your team of Meeting & Event Planners and hosts, as well as colleagues in reception and restaurant.

Desired qualities and experience

As a person, we hope you are positive, service-minded, quick, and have a good ability to plan to stay one step ahead of the customer's wishes. With your personality and ability to make our guests feel seen, you contribute to the comfort and atmosphere that enhances the guest's stay. Some physical strength can also be beneficial as we rearrange furniture and walk a large number of steps in the corridors throughout the day.

If you have experience working in service, we see it as a great plus, but with the right personality and attitude, you can go far. It is a good merit if you have worked with meetings & events before, or in hotels & restaurants.

Education

Education in hotel & restaurant management is an advantage.

Working hours

The working hours are 75% with a fixed monthly salary and annual working hours that adapt to the needs of the business in high and low season. Mainly weekdays, morning or afternoon shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, and some weekends.

We apply a 6-month probationary period, after which a permanent position will be offered.
