Your New Job
We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to a good life and a better Östersund by providing the best possible meals for our guests. Meal Service is a sector within Östersund Municipality, Technical Administration. The sector includes over 80 kitchens divided into seven areas. We prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for preschools and schools, lunches for high schools, and dinner and lunch for individuals living in assisted housing.
We are now seeking a chef for Jägarvallen Preschool, 75%, located in Östersund in the northern district. Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 13:30.
Start date: By agreement
Common Tasks
- Prepare safe, nutritious, and sustainable food of high quality according to the approved menu
- Dishes and cleaning
- Order food and consumables
- Digital handling of invoices
- Provide good service and a pleasant demeanor
- Conduct self-inspections
- Document and report
Your Qualifications
Requirements
- Culinary education and/or work experience deemed equivalent by the employer
- Work experience from previous employment as a chef in a public kitchen is an advantage
- Good language skills in Swedish
- Good computer skills

About Technical Administration
Be part of building important community functions for both our citizens and the municipality's operations. Our operations are very broad. We work with everything from park maintenance, waste management, recycling, and property maintenance to snow removal, land and construction work, water purification, meal preparation, cleaning, and sanitation.
