Registered Nurse for Ward M69

Ward M69 is a psychiatric care unit focused on treating patients with severe and acute psychiatric symptoms, psychiatric intensive care unit (PIVA).

The psychiatric intensive care involves targeted management of agitation, severe anxiety, hyperactivity, and psychotic symptoms through tailored responses, activities, and medication treatment.

The ward has a total of 16 beds, divided into 6 PIVA beds and 10 step-down beds. We have a close collaboration with the clinic's ECT unit. For the work to run smoothly, it requires us to actively collaborate across team boundaries, support, and encourage each other!

Responsibilities

  • Planned and acute medication management.
  • Continuous psychiatric assessments.
  • Supportive and problem-solving conversations with patients.
  • Medical technical tasks and specific nursing care.
  • Reporting to the next shift and information transfer to other care units and actors.
  • Leading nursing care, e.g., following up that planned care has been carried out or prioritizing tasks.
  • Documentation of performed work.

You will not work as a sole nurse during day/evening shifts; there are always at least 2 nurses on each shift.

Qualifications

  • Licensed nurse.
  • You have a person-centered understanding of the patient's needs and can simultaneously see how each small task connects to the outcome.
  • We are looking for someone who enjoys working together with others and thrives in teamwork.

Meritorious

  • Experience working in acute psychiatric care.
  • Specialist education in psychiatric nursing.

  • As a licensed nurse with specialist training in psychiatric care, you have the opportunity to take on extra assignments. Up to 20% of your working hours can be allocated to the assignment, and a salary supplement of 2500 SEK/month is also provided.
