Södersjukhuset is looking for an experienced research nurse

To establish a new clinical trial unit (CTU) within the Internal Medicine department at Södersjukhuset.

The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of future clinical research in one of the hospital's largest areas of operation.

Internal Medicine at Södersjukhuset has a broad medical profile with large patient volumes and established research in areas such as diabetology, allergology, gastroenterology, neurology/stroke, and coagulation. We are now further strengthening our research infrastructure with a focus on more clinical drug trials, registry studies, and academic projects.

Job Description

As a research nurse with us, you will have a central and strategic role in establishing and driving the new unit and will be an important support for researchers and clinicians throughout the department.

In the role of research nurse, you will:

  • Have overall responsibility. Independently plan, drive, and coordinate clinical studies from initiation to completion – both academic and industry-sponsored.
  • Coordinate and ensure the quality of all clinical research projects within the Internal Medicine department.
  • Be an expert in ethical applications and other regulatory matters prior to study initiation.
  • Prepare and manage study documentation, CRF/eCRF, database management, surveys, and data entry.
  • Participate in and conduct studies, including sample collection, examinations, and observations.
  • Plan, book, and coordinate patient visits and ensure good research flows.
  • Maintain and develop contact with researchers, clinicians, pharmaceutical companies, monitors, and other partners.
  • Disseminate information about current and upcoming studies within the department.
  • Actively contribute to the Internal Medicine department's R&D group.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with previous experience of overall responsibility and who enjoys building and developing operations. You work in a structured and independent manner, take overall responsibility, and drive processes forward. You are collaborative, engaged, and have a strong patient focus. Furthermore, you are flexible and solution-oriented and thrive in a dynamic environment. You remain calm and stable even under high workload.

Competence Requirements

  • Licensed nurse
  • At least 5 years of experience as a research nurse, including experience with clinical drug trials
  • Current GCP training (at least basic course).
  • Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1
  • Very good knowledge of English
