About us:

The Habilitation Center Stockholm for adults is a specialist outpatient clinic that belongs to the Habilitation & Health organization.

We provide services to individuals over 18 years old with congenital or early-onset disabilities that create difficulties in daily life, such as autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, and/or movement disabilities.

We work in interdisciplinary teams with social workers, speech therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. We are a wonderful and dedicated group with a lot of knowledge, and our work is characterized by enthusiasm and great commitment to our patients. About the position:

As an occupational therapist in the team for patients with intellectual disabilities and/or congenital movement disabilities, you will be part of a group of 9 practitioners, including 3 occupational therapists. We work both in teams and individually. In total, we have 25 employees in the unit.

Your responsibilities include:

• Mapping and assessing patients' abilities and needs
• Designing individualized, adapted cognitive support
• Prescribing and following up on individually adapted aids
• Conducting CPUP measurements

Our patients often have complex needs that require collaboration with healthcare neighbors, networks, municipal services, and other authorities. Services are provided at the clinic, in patients' local environments, or with healthcare neighbors.

Employment form:

About you:

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist who has:

• Good knowledge of disabilities and their consequences in daily life.
• Experience in assessing and prescribing aids.
• The ability to document and work systematically according to current guidelines.
• Collaboration skills and experience working in teams.
• The ability to work independently and take responsibility for planning, prioritizing, and executing your own tasks.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working in habilitation, special schools, LSS activities, or similar.
• Knowledge of AAC (alternative and augmentative communication).
• Experience working with cognitive support and low-arousal approaches.
• Experience working in the TakeCare journal system.

For patient-related work within the Stockholm County healthcare area:

• Background checks will be applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
• Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
• In addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
