Registered Nurse for Psychiatric Assessment Unit

We are looking for engaged and licensed nurses for our psychiatric assessment unit centrally located in Södermalm.
About the Assessment Unit
The Psychiatric Assessment Unit Rosenlund (PUM) is Psychiatry South's common referral unit. The unit is staffed with doctors, psychologists, nurses, and medical secretaries. The unit is well-organized and works in accordance with guidelines from the Stockholm region and the National Board of Health and Welfare. Several employees are active in the region's process work.
The unit is adjacent to the Psychiatric Emergency Unit in fine premises at the top of Grindhuset in the Rosenlund healthcare area in Södermalm, Stockholm, with very good communications by buses, subway, and commuter trains within walking distance.
About the Position
We offer a varied workday with the opportunity to meet patients with different diagnoses and needs. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and play an important role in creating safety and high-quality care for our patients.
Your Responsibilities
- Assessment and care of patients with psychiatric issues.
- Develop and follow up care and crisis plans.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the organization.
- Provide information and support to patients and their relatives.
- Receive and assess self-referrals from patients.

Our Expectations of You
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training in psychiatry, with experience in psychiatric outpatient care. You should enjoy collaborating with different professions and easily adapt to changing circumstances. You have an empathetic ability reflected in curiosity and openness to people. You have an interest in change and improvement work. We place great importance on your personal qualities such as suitability, flexibility, and good collaboration skills.

For patient-related work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:
- background checks will be applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks at hiring.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional licensing, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
