Specialist Physician in Psychiatry

We are looking for an engaged and innovative specialist physician in psychiatry who wants to be part of our multidisciplinary team at our clinic in Alvik.

Description

As a specialist physician at our clinic, in addition to our core mission of treating patients with depression and bipolar disorder, you will also be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a range of psychiatric conditions. (We treat all conditions except Bipolar 1 and psychosis.) Many conditions are complex, and the work encompasses many questions that are both challenging and developmental.

The clinic is well-staffed and consists of 24 employees. Among these are seven specialist physicians, including the medical manager, five nurses, six psychologists, one psychotherapist, one rehabilitation coordinator, one occupational therapist, and three medical secretaries.

We have a broad competence within the medical team, and in addition to the affective expertise, we have competence in areas such as addiction and neuropsychiatry.

There is a very pleasant atmosphere at the clinic, which is housed in beautiful premises with a large, lovely lunchroom that is the heart of the clinic.

The clinic is located at Alviks Torg with good public transport options around the corner, such as subway, tram, and buses. Alvik also offers proximity to Lake Mälaren, a good selection of lunch restaurants, and other services.

Our clinic is part of one of four sections within Northern Stockholm Psychiatry (NSP). We have close collaboration with one of several inpatient departments located within the St. Göran hospital area.

Responsibilities

The work consists of diagnostic assessments, treatment, and collaboration with various entities. The work also involves participating in the treatment planning process and providing advice to other team members. The teams work together to develop the best possible treatment for the patient in accordance with evidence and national guidelines. The clinic works hard to create good cross-professional relationships with the patient in focus.

Work within psychiatry is continuously evolving, and NSP constantly strives for modern and innovative working methods. Therefore, participation in the clinic's quality and development work is a given for our employees.

Qualifications

You are a specialist physician in psychiatry and should have experience working in an outpatient setting. You have good communication skills and the ability to work in a team. You understand individual needs, are flexible, solution-focused, and attentive.
