About the Position

We are looking for an experienced and self-driven site manager/excavator operator for our operations in earthworks and construction. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for production and lead approximately 20 employees in daily operations.

You will be responsible for planning, leading, and following up on projects as well as for cost estimation and quoting for your own jobs. The position involves significant customer contact, and you will work with municipalities, companies, and private individuals. The role is strategically important, and you will be part of the company's management team.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and personnel responsibility for about 20 employees
• Planning, execution, and follow-up of construction projects
• Cost estimation, quotes, and financial follow-up of your own projects
• Customer responsibility towards municipalities, companies, and private clients
• Ensuring that work is performed according to applicable laws, regulations, and workplace safety requirements
• Collaboration with the management team on strategic and operational issues

Qualifications

• Documented experience in construction work and/or as an excavator operator
• Experience in leadership and personnel responsibility
• Good experience in estimating jobs, making calculations, and quotes
• Good communication skills and the ability to build long-term customer relationships
• At least 5 years of experience
• Valid driver's license (requirement)

Meritorious

• BAS-P and BAS-U certifications
• Work zone safety training
• Electrical safety training
• Other relevant training and certifications in construction/contracting
