Norra Västmanlands Municipal Technical Association (NVK)

Norra Västmanlands Kommunalteknikförbund, NVK, is a municipal association where the members are the municipalities of Fagersta and Norberg. The main office is located in Fagersta with local offices in Norberg. The association is responsible for the operation of residential properties, commercial properties, streets and roads, water and sewage, parks, forests, recreational facilities, IT, and cleaning services. NVK is ultimately led by its board appointed by the municipalities of Fagersta and Norberg. The board has overall responsibility, while the director of the association is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the organization. NVK has about 150 employees and a turnover of 400 million.

We are looking for a dedicated and responsible maintenance worker who wants to be part of our team in the street department in both Fagersta and Norberg.

Your mission

As a maintenance worker/light technician, you will play a central role in ensuring that our streets and roads, parks, and playgrounds are in top condition to meet the needs of the residents. You place great importance on having good communication with the residents of the municipalities.

Your main tasks:

• Perform maintenance of the lighting network
• Maintenance of municipal streets, roads, parks, and playgrounds
• Winter road maintenance

On-call duty is included in the position. Therefore, you must be able to report to the workplace within 45 minutes.

Your qualifications and merits

We prefer that you have an education in the electrical and energy program at the high school level or that you have otherwise gained similar experience. Previous work in the electrical and energy sector is highly meritorious and demonstrates your ability to handle the demands and challenges that come with the role.

A Class C driver's license and professional competence certificate are highly meritorious and will be considered in the recruitment process. A manual transmission driver's license is a requirement.

It is of great importance that you are handy and have a good technical understanding. Being able to handle various tools and machines is an important part of the job, so previous experience in this area is desirable.
