We are now looking for a highly experienced project manager for the construction project department. The construction project department is responsible for new construction and renovation of our property portfolio. The department consists of 12 dedicated employees with extensive experience in leading and managing construction projects in all phases. Through our work, we contribute to the development of Region Örebro County's premises both operationally and technically for the future.

The property area is responsible for the management, operation, and construction of Region Örebro County's properties, approximately 500,000 m2. Our main task is to maintain our properties and ensure that the premises are functional and appropriate. We do this through operational and technical adjustments or by creating new premises or buildings. Our tenants are mostly healthcare operations, which entails a high technical complexity and demands on connections, functionality, and flows.

Together, we are about 150 employees, both younger and more experienced. Our employees are driven, engaged, and have a high technical competence. With us, you will meet people who help each other and have a good sense of community.

Region Service works with service to Region Örebro County's operations. We have many different tasks and expertise in areas such as IT, property, meals, cleaning, logistics, healthcare-related services, medical technology, support, procurement, archiving, and administration. Construction Project Manager for the Construction Project Department

Job Responsibilities

As a project manager, you will actively participate in our construction processes, from planning and design to completed building. As a project manager, you will independently manage and lead projects while working together in a team with local planners and technical project managers. You are responsible for ensuring that the jobs are completed on time, with the right quality, and at the right cost.

Your main job responsibilities will include:

  • organizing and structuring construction projects from planning and design to final inspection and handover to management & operations.
  • responsible for controlling and monitoring the schedule, budget, quality, environmental, and occupational safety issues throughout all phases of the projects from planning to execution.
  • in collaboration with the procurement department, procure objects according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU).
  • responsible for forecasting and monitoring the project's finances.

Other job responsibilities include:

  • leading projects in early stages.
  • monitoring new technology, new laws, regulations, and standards and implementing these in the operations.
  • participating in the development of our management system for quality, environment, and occupational safety.
  • working with colleagues to develop technical standards tailored to our operations.
  • participating in local and national networks for exchanging experiences within your area of expertise.

Your workplace is in Örebro, but you will work with properties throughout the county.

Qualifications

Your background may be in construction service, contracting, or consulting.

  • You have many years of experience in complex construction projects, and it is an advantage if you have an academic education that we consider relevant.
  • You are engaged, driven, and enjoy collaborating in projects and have good leadership skills.
  • You easily make new contacts, are receptive to information, and have the ability to create high customer satisfaction.
  • You contribute to creating a climate that is solution-focused and developing for the workgroup you will be part of.
  • You want to develop and take on new challenges.
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility and quality thinking.
  • You have good administrative and digital skills.
  • You have good knowledge of laws, regulations, and standards.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.
