Project Manager in Kristinehamn

We are now looking for a project manager in Kristinehamn. If you have several years of experience in planning and executing investment projects within the construction industry, with responsibility for time, cost, and function, this could be the next step in your career.

The Fortifications Agency owns, develops, and manages robust defense properties for peace, crisis, and war. With our unique expertise in defense properties, we create secure environments for a robust total defense.

About the Position

As a project manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and following up on construction and civil engineering projects, where you lead and coordinate the work between various internal and external stakeholders. In this role, you ensure that projects are carried out according to set goals regarding time, cost, quality, and working environment.

The work as a project manager at the Fortifications Agency means that you participate in the entire construction process – from early stages such as needs analysis and design to production, completion, and handover to management and the client. You play a central role in the dialogue with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders, actively contributing to creating sustainable and effective solutions.

Qualifications

Education

University or college education, or alternatively a high school engineer with a focus on civil engineering, construction or installation technology, architecture, or education that we consider equivalent.

Knowledge of contract law and the Public Procurement Act (LOU) is seen as an asset.

Your Previous Work Experience

To be considered for the position, you must have leadership skills that we assess as satisfactory. You also have several years of experience working with planning and executing investment projects related to the construction industry, where you have been responsible for time, cost, and function. In addition to the above, you have good knowledge of Swedish and a Class B driver's license.

It is advantageous if you have experience in cost estimation/bid calculation in projects and experience with the Fortifications Agency's operations, primarily within construction and management. It is also advantageous if you have previously worked with land and civil engineering projects.

To succeed in this role, you are a structured and analytical person who has the ability to plan, prioritize, and make well-founded decisions. You work methodically and have a solution-oriented approach even in complex issues.

You enjoy collaborating with others and have an easy time building good relationships with colleagues, clients, and external partners. At the same time, you are stable and secure in your leadership, even in situations with high tempo or changing conditions.

About the Employment

The position is a permanent employment and may begin with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be assigned to a military position. The place of employment is Kristinehamn. An employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. A security screening with a background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
