Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to societal development is even greater. With us, you can do both. We are now looking for a Construction Engineer for the Industrial division and our Tank Coating operations, based in Örebro or Aneby. At Svevia, we combine the community and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist - with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility.
Your mission as a Construction Engineer
As a construction engineer, you will work closely with the project manager and site managers, becoming a natural part of the management of Svevia's Tank Coating operations. You will be based either at Svevia's establishments in Örebro or Aneby, and you are expected to travel to your projects across the country.
The role is relatively administrative, and tasks may include project documentation in daily work, cost estimation, work environment plans, and project plans, as well as providing support to the project manager and site manager. Our site managers are located in Örebro or Aneby, hence the placement for this position.
The Tank Coating operates seasonally, from April to November, and during that time, you will be an integral part of supporting projects to ensure they proceed as planned. Off-season, you will work on final documentation, cost estimation, and preparations.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with experience/interest in coating work and asphalt who wants to take the next step with us. You have previously worked with similar tasks and feel comfortable with them. You have good experience with administrative work, primarily in Excel. If you have also worked with documentation for the Transport Agency before, it is an advantage, as well as knowledge of industry-related regulations.
As a person, you are self-driven, motivated, and have a flexible attitude. The position is varied and will require flexibility and a good ability to prioritize correctly and adjust when necessary. You dare to take your own initiatives to create good continuations and solutions that lead the team forward. You are confident in yourself, patient, and persistent, and you enjoy solving problems in a dynamic work environment. With your strong self-leadership, you find it easy to motivate yourself and collaborate effectively with others, contributing to good communication and successful teamwork.
The position requires a B driver's license, and you are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Part of something bigger
Svevia's industrial division is in an expansive phase, and the ambitions are high. The goal is to be a leading player in coating in Sweden.
Behind every road lies more than the obvious surface: a whole industry of knowledge and delivery capability. Our offering is an industrial process. From stone to finished road.
It all starts with a quarry, which then becomes ballast, which in turn is used in the production of asphalt, which is finally laid on the road. With over 100 of our own quarries, in-house production of asphalt, bitumen emulsion, and thermoplastics, we have a breadth that no one else has. In our laboratories, we conduct material analyses and ensure that products meet standards and requirements. And our skilled teams in milling, asphalting, tank coating, and road marking ensure that the delivery is complete.
Why Svevia?
With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we care about being a workplace for everyone. Decision-making paths are short, and it is easy to make your voice heard. At the same time, you become part of a practical reality and a company where concrete results are created with steaming asphalt machines, large snowplows, and tons of rebar and concrete. With your professional skills, you can make a difference on the road. And we always prioritize safety - both with care for your own work environment and the safety of others.
For those who want to take the next step in their development, there are many opportunities. Whether you want to deepen your knowledge in your specific area or move forward into a leadership position.
Together, we make city and countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
