Job Description
Do you want to help shape the sustainable society of the future? Then AFRY is the workplace for you!
With us, you will be part of an engaged team working broadly with community development. We are driven by creating attractive, inclusive, and sustainable cities and communities. Our clients include municipalities, regions, and government agencies, as well as private actors.
In the role of construction and project manager for land and civil engineering projects, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and following up on our clients' projects. The role encompasses a wide range of tasks, such as project and construction management, site supervision, design management, and project engineering work. The projects vary in scope and complexity, making the role versatile and developmental.
As a construction and project manager at AFRY, you have significant freedom of action, but also considerable responsibility. You drive the project towards its overall goals, ensure that all parties work in the same direction, and continuously report to the client and your immediate manager at AFRY.
You will be based in one of our offices in Örebro, Västerås, or Uppsala.
Qualifications
We see that you have at least 2 years of experience in construction and project management within land and civil engineering, either as a consultant, client, or contractor. In terms of education, we expect you to be a university or civil engineer, or have equivalent relevant work experience that provides you with the right competencies for the role.
Since you will have a lot of contact with clients in this role, we see that you are structured and clear in your communication, as well as responsive to the client's wishes and needs. You are driven to create new business opportunities for yourself and the team. Additionally, you have good problem-solving skills and strong leadership qualities.
To succeed in this role, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as you will collaborate with both national and international actors. Since we continuously work with international partners, it is an advantage if you have experience leading employees in other countries.
It is a plus if you have experience in inspection or are a certified inspector, as this strengthens our ability to ensure quality and compliance with requirements in projects.

As a consultant with us, you will never be alone in your assignment. Here, you step into an organization where strong teamwork, open knowledge-sharing platforms, and a broad professional network are givens.
You will have access to experienced colleagues, specialist expertise, mentorship, and several internal networks that help you grow – both in your role and in your projects. Whether you need a sounding board, technical expertise, methodological support, or just someone to discuss ideas with, the support structures are already in place.
We believe that the strength of the consultant comes from the combination of personal drive and a solid foundation to lean on. Therefore, we offer:
