Your new job

As a specialist nursing assistant, you will be an important part of the workgroup in our unit for individuals with cognitive diseases. You will work closely with citizens and support colleagues in developing a health-promoting and person-centered approach. Your expertise makes you a method supporter and role model in the team.

Examples of job responsibilities:

• Be one of our two BPSD administrators and support and guide colleagues in the preventive BPSD work
• Support and inspire colleagues in the role of contact person in cases with severe BPSD symptoms
• Prepare and lead reflection sessions together with the unit manager, aimed at developing person-centered methods and approaches within the workgroup and other units
• Participate in network meetings and training days to learn about research and new findings and spread knowledge to colleagues
• Guide and introduce new colleagues within your area of expertise
• Be a mentor for YH students during their LIA period, helping them connect theory and practice

Your qualifications

You are a trained specialist nursing assistant with a focus on dementia care/cognitive diseases or another relevant specialization. Furthermore, you have experience working with individuals who have cognitive diseases and are accustomed to using evidence-based methods and approaches. You have the ability to identify measures that improve care and support, as well as a strong ethical approach.

It is advantageous if you have a mentoring qualification and/or experience in mentoring and teaching others. You also need to be comfortable using digital work tools, and we particularly value previous experience with the operational system Combine.

You have excellent skills in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension, as well as good physical mobility since the work can be physically demanding.

Ekåsen elderly care home consists of 43 apartments and is located on Ekeforsvägen in a nature-friendly environment. We are a wonderful team working together to create a pleasant atmosphere, provide good care, and always meet our residents with respect for their integrity.

Good to know

The recruitment concerns a permanent full-time position with a start date according to agreement.

The working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and every other weekend. We work with joint planning.
