Logistics Soldier to the Swedish Armed Forces

The Swedish Armed Forces is ramping up, and logistics plays a prominent role in the future military. As a logistics soldier, you will contribute to the operational effect within the southern military region and the home guard battalions subordinate to the Blekinge group. Logistics Section at Blekinge Group

We primarily operate in Blekinge and are a military region group (MR-Grp) located in Karlskrona at the Rosenholm training area, which offers a very good working environment. We are a small flexible combat unit tasked with leading, training, organizing, and administering our two home guard battalions and, to some extent, supporting the local voluntary defense organizations (FFO) in Blekinge in specific areas. The tasks can sometimes be complex within the framework of both voluntary activities and the overarching mission of the southern military region. They span the entire spectrum from peace through crisis to war.

Main Responsibilities

You will perform material and supply transports, ensure that materials and vehicles maintain the status required by the units, both during exercises and live operations, and assist in, for example, inventorying the unit's materials. Initially, you will work alongside experienced staff under supervision. The goal is to independently and collaboratively solve tasks within the framework of the decided division of responsibilities. Training and competence-enhancing activities are a natural part of the job and will include, among other things, obtaining driving licenses for various types of vehicles and maintaining weapon competence.

Qualifications

• Swedish citizenship
• Completed and approved Swedish military basic training
• Driving license category B

Employment is permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not already employed by the authority. Full-time employment, with duties during evenings and weekends. Travel in service may occur. The workplace is Karlskrona. The position is military GSS/K. Start date as soon as possible, by agreement.

The Southern Military Region (MR S) is a combat unit and an organizational unit where the Chief and Staff are located in Revingehed. The organization consists of a Chief with staff, five military region groups for training and support of the home guard, and about 7000 home guard soldiers organized into eleven battalions and several independent units. C MR S with regional staff leads subordinate units, collaborates with regional and local actors, leads security and intelligence services, and supports operational and tactical leaders who solve tasks within the region.
