Leadership and Pedagogy Section at the Naval Warfare School is Hiring!
The Leadership and Pedagogy Section at the Naval Warfare School is seeking individuals who want to help develop the Navy's personnel in leadership and pedagogy. Leadership is an important part of the training for naval personnel at all levels. We train students such as soldiers, sailors, specialist officers, and officers from basic to advanced levels in the subject, as well as ongoing professional and position training for our employees.
About the Unit
The Cadet Unit handles all future naval officers either fully or partially. The unit conducts training for specialist officers and reserve officers, as well as practical training for officer students with a naval focus. The unit is also responsible for education in subjects such as languages, physical combat readiness, leadership, and pedagogy.
The workplace is located within the Naval Base in Karlskrona, close to modern classrooms and simulators. The position is primarily based in Karlskrona, but travel may occur as part of the job.
Main Responsibilities
- Train soldiers, sailors, group leaders, and officers in leadership and their role as instructors/trainers
- Plan, educate, evaluate, and develop your lessons in leadership and pedagogy
- Be course responsible within the subject area with responsibility for planning, conducting, following up, and developing courses
- Follow other training to ensure that students can apply leadership in a military context
- Deepen your own knowledge in the field of leadership
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Completed and approved basic officer training, at least rank OF 1 or SO 6
- Driver's license B (manual)

DESIRABLE
- Experience in training in various learning environments
- Worked with Developmental Leadership (UL) or Development of Group and Leader (UGL) or other similar process-oriented/experiential training
- Experience in “Blended Learning” and “Active Learning Classroom”

Employment type: Permanent employment, military position. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.
Location: Karlskrona.
Start date: By agreement.
Salary: Individual salary setting applies.
Travel may occur in the position.
