Team Leader for Norrköping Port
Norrköping Port is one of the country's larger ports, with many national and international customers. The operation is managed by Norrköping Port AB, owned by Norrköping Municipality. The port plays a central role in the development of the region as a strong logistics location. The company is in an exciting phase with long-term development of the organization's structure and expansion of the port facilities. There is great potential to contribute to societal benefits by developing a very important logistics hub for the region's businesses.
For a good working environment, our shared values – trust, collaboration, and joy - are an important support. These should characterize our work and make everyday life easier for all of us at Norrköping Port.
We are now looking for a team leader for our dry bulk terminal!
Port operations involve more than just loading, unloading, and storing – it is about offering smart, sustainable solutions for today's and tomorrow's needs. With a focus on intelligent terminal operations and tailored logistics, we create efficient and flexible solutions that put the customer at the center. By combining smooth transportation with the latest technology and a strong sustainability perspective, we can handle goods quickly and carefully. Together, we tackle the challenges within shipping and logistics, with people at the core.
Your Role
As a team leader in the terminal, you are a key player working closely with the terminal manager and other leaders to optimize the flow in the port. You are responsible for planning, leading, and distributing work so that our resources are used in the best possible way, with a focus on efficiency and results. Your ability to collaborate across departmental boundaries, while also driving projects independently, contributes to creating success for the team and the business.
You will have a broad role where you work with operational issues and plan production in the short and long term. This can involve everything from personnel, machinery, service, quality, and working hours to planning for new customers, holding staff meetings, working with workplace analysis, and various workplace issues. You will have personnel responsibility for a team of approximately 10–15 employees. The position involves varying working hours, including on-call duty and overtime.
Your Profile
We believe you have worked or are working as some form of team leader, group manager, or team leader within an industry in a change-oriented environment where no day is the same. You are a pedagogical and appreciated leader.
You lead your group through daily goals and also have a strategic view and overview of your work. We do not expect you to know everything about how a port operates, as you will learn that, but we believe you have a good eye for logistics flows and transportation.
You are a confident leader who knows what it means to drive modern leadership in a company undergoing change. As a person, you are positive, structured, communicative, unpretentious, and attentive.
As the work takes place in a sometimes risky environment, you will sometimes need to make quick and sometimes tough decisions. Norrköping Port has a strong focus on workplace issues, every day of the year. We continuously work to improve our safety culture, where every employee contributes. For a good working environment, our shared values – trust, collaboration, and joy - are an important support. These should characterize our work and make everyday life easier for all of us at Norrköping Port. Together we are Norrköping Port.
We see it as a given that you are skilled in expressing yourself in speech and writing in Swedish, and English is an advantage. To get around our port area and to our customers, a B driver's license is a requirement. You have at least a high school diploma, and additional education in a relevant field is an advantage.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Employment with Norrköping Port AB involves civil war placement.
Scope and Duration
The position is full-time with a start date according to agreement.
Location
