Our employment offer
Department 76 focuses on general internal medicine and our patients have a wide range of internal medicine diagnoses. Our goal is to care for and treat the acutely ill patient. We have direct admissions from the emergency department around the clock as well as transfers from other areas within the hospital, which means you will meet and care for patients with both acute and chronic conditions.
We work in teams, learn from each other, and have good collaboration between professions where the best interests of the patient are our common goal.

Job description
As an assistant ward manager with us, you will have an independent and varied assignment where you have good opportunities to plan and structure your workday. Your closest team consists of the ward manager, another assistant ward manager, and the medical management responsible doctor. Together, we create an open and unpretentious work climate where collaboration, trust, and loyalty are central. In this role, you will play an important part in supporting and developing our employees, strengthening collaboration and cohesion, thereby contributing to safe, secure, and high-quality care. The ward manager has overall responsibility for the department's operations, staff, and finances. As an assistant ward manager, you are a key person and a close support in this mission. Together, you will plan, lead, develop, and follow up on operations. You are an important part of creating a good work climate through present, accessible, and inclusive leadership. You are visible in daily work, have ongoing dialogue with employees, and work towards clear and effective teamwork where everyone strives for common goals.
Your tasks include daily planning of operations, staffing, and scheduling. You lead and coach employees, plan for professional development, and organize the introduction and follow-up of new colleagues. An important part of the assignment is to drive quality and improvement work and to develop the unit in a positive direction. To be well anchored in operations and nursing issues, clinical work as a nurse is a natural part of the role.
Qualifications
Licensed nurse with several years of experience in emergency care. Previous experience in management/leadership is an advantage. A master's degree in nursing and leadership training is considered an advantage.
Personal qualities

50% assistant ward manager and 50% clinical work
You will mostly work during the day, but the clinical work also includes evenings and weekend shifts (every fourth weekend)
