About the Position

We are currently looking for several experienced forklift operators for our client in the Port of Gothenburg. The position is long-term and suits those who want a varied role where no day is the same. The work consists of a combination of manual tasks and forklift driving, meaning that both pace and content can vary from day to day. For the right person, there are good opportunities for a stable employment over time.

Responsibilities

In the role of forklift operator, you will handle goods from various customers, including both loading and unloading. A large part of the work is done with counterbalance forklifts, but manual tasks also naturally occur in daily work, as well as securing loads. You will be an important part of the operation and actively contribute to ensuring that the work is performed efficiently, structured, and with high safety.

Safety is a central part of the operations in the port. You are expected to follow applicable routines, work carefully, and contribute to a safe and secure working environment, as well as participate in ongoing improvement efforts.

Working Hours

The working hours are varied and scheduled weekly, with working hours communicated on Thursdays for the upcoming week. Work can be scheduled during daytime between 06:45–15:45 or evening hours between 15:30–23:45. Longer shifts, for example between 07:00–20:00, may also occur. Therefore, it is important that you are flexible and enjoy varied working hours.

Profile & Background

To succeed in this role, we see that you have several years of experience driving counterbalance forklifts and are confident in your professional role. Experience from warehouse, terminal, or production environments is an advantage. A forklift license is required, and experience with TUG (C-authorization) is considered highly advantageous. You also need to have good knowledge of Swedish and a B driver's license.
