Water and Wastewater Engineer Focused on Water Services

We are looking for a Water and Wastewater Engineer with a focus on water services. In this role, you will have a central function where you work at the intersection of technology, coordination, and collaboration to contribute to sustainable solutions in the water sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Water and Wastewater Engineer with us, you will be the entry point for water connections for properties. You will independently drive or participate in construction projects for new or renovated properties and be responsible for ensuring that the connection is complete according to applicable guidelines both administratively and in the field.

In your role as a Water and Wastewater Engineer, you will also act as a coordinator, where you have an overarching responsibility to keep our unit together to perform our mission uniformly in accordance with applicable laws and guidelines. You will also work together with others in the company to ensure quality and investigate service issues in various projects.

The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probation period, based at the headquarters in Ulvsunda, Bromma.

You will work with:

• Planning and designing new and renovated water services and water meter locations in both smaller and larger complex projects.
• Calculating and compiling the data that forms the basis for Stockholm Water and Waste’s billing regarding facility and usage fees.
• Reviewing documents and construction drawings.
• Independently driving operational issues, identifying, proposing, and implementing improvements.
• Acting as a contact person in internal and external interfaces for questions of an overarching/strategic nature.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has the ability to independently plan, structure, and prioritize their work based on the unit's mission and goals. The work involves many contact points, which requires a service-oriented and communicative approach as well as a good ability to build and maintain relationships. Furthermore, we believe you are a person who approaches tasks with a solution-oriented mindset and works systematically to ensure high quality in both your own work and in the unit's overall delivery. A genuine customer interest and a clear focus on quality are important parts of the role.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university or college degree with a technical focus or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• At least three years of experience working independently with planning and designing new and renovated water services and water meter locations.
• Very good knowledge of the Public Water Services Act.
• Good knowledge of handling various IT systems and the Office suite, specifically Excel and Outlook.
• Very good ability to express oneself in Swedish in speech and writing.
• A valid driver's license (B).
