Our operations

The Implementation Unit is responsible for designing, procuring, and constructing the municipality's public facilities and community properties.

We ensure that detailed plans can be implemented and that the municipality's investments are built efficiently, sustainably, and handed over to the administration in an organized manner. Currently, we are managing several larger projects, including the transformation of Gustavsberg's center with new housing, a city park, walking paths, and climate adaptation measures. We are also participating in the planning of the reconstruction of road 222 at Grisslingerakan together with the Swedish Transport Administration.

Your mission

As a project manager, you are the municipality's client and lead projects from early planning and design to implementation and handover. You are responsible for quality, budget, procurement, and follow-up, ensuring that work environment and regulations are followed. The role involves many points of contact, both internally and externally, and requires good communication skills.

You lead all stages of the construction process, procure and follow up on contractors and consultants, and coordinate the municipality's various competencies in project form. You work closely with, for example, planning architects, civil engineers, landscape architects, ecologists, and traffic engineers, as well as for dialogue with developers and contractors. You report to the head of the implementation unit.

Your experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or vocational training in civil engineering, urban planning (e.g., road and water) or equivalent field.
• Experience in planning, procurement, and implementation of investment projects.
• Documented experience in construction projects within municipal infrastructure (streets, pedestrian and bicycle paths, water and sewage, parks, traffic solutions).
• Experience in project management throughout the process – design, procurement, production, and follow-up.
• Very good knowledge of AMA, MER, AB04/ABT06, ABK09 and experience applying them.
• Documented experience in work environment, contract law, and public procurement (LOU).

Desirable

• Experience as a municipal client and understanding of municipal governing documents and decision-making processes.
• Experience with political committees, detailed planning processes, and municipal infrastructure projects.

You are communicative, collaborate well, and create good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
