Conference and Banquet Staff Wanted at Scandic Göteborg Central

Scandic Göteborg Central, located in a new district emerging from the former container port, right at the base of the new Hisingsbron bridge and just a stone's throw from the Central Station. The hotel is one of Scandic's largest with its 451 rooms and a large meeting department. The hotel features a lobby bar, café, and a lovely rooftop bar and restaurant with views over Gothenburg's harbor entrance. We are now looking for a wonderful team member for our conference and banquet department!

What does the role entail?

You are one of the first people guests meet when they arrive, so it is essential that you have a warm demeanor and are attentive to details and guests' needs. You have a passionate interest in food and beverages and appreciate order and tidiness, both in your own work and that of your colleagues. Your main tasks will be to prepare and serve food and drinks to guests attending conferences or dinners/events. You will also support the hotel team with other tasks as needed.

Who are you?

To fit into this role, we believe you have experience in similar work and enjoy providing service to both large and small groups. Since the job largely involves communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a prerequisite.

However, your personal qualities and attitude are the most important. To fit into the role, you need to be a responsive and unpretentious team player who takes significant responsibility for your tasks and the overall result. It is also important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel's guests.

The position is a temporary part-time employment starting no later than March.
