Summer Substitute Care Coordinator for the Emergency Department

Job Description

The care coordinators work based on Södersjukhuset's overall admission process to ensure that patients are placed in the right care unit and that available care places are utilized optimally.

As a care coordinator, you are a key resource in this process, primarily responsible for continuously inventorying the availability of care places and managing patient placements. You work independently but in close collaboration with doctors in the emergency department and representatives from inpatient care.

The care coordinator is the resource that enables our patients to be in the right care unit and optimizes the use of available care places. In your role, you continuously inventory the care places in the hospital and coordinate with inpatient care units, further facilitating patient placements.

The care coordinators are based in the emergency department and belong to a larger employee group.

The positions are available during the day, evening, night, and weekends.

The positions are temporary full-time contracts from June 15 to August 23.

Qualifications

You have the ability to work in an organized and structured manner. You can work independently and are interested in developing your own role. Additionally, you care about maintaining relationships and are a good representative of the hospital. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Competency Requirements:

• Certified nursing assistant with proof of protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare
• Alternatively, nursing student who has completed semester 3 or medical student who has completed semester 4

You must be able to work during the period of June 15 - August 23, 2026.

The positions require good IT skills. Additionally, you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
