The Radiology Clinic in Linköping is a highly specialized clinic with a high pace of development. In addition to clinical operations, we conduct both development and research together with the research unit Center for Medical Imaging and Visualization (CMIV). The clinic performs approximately 180,000 examinations annually within the following modalities: CT, MR, PET/CT, Ultrasound, angio/intervention, and conventional radiology. A large part of the operations is acute.

Job Description

As a nurse at the Interventional Unit at the University Hospital in Linköping, you are offered an inspiring everyday life with varied tasks. You work in interdisciplinary teams with the patient in focus and collaborate regularly with referring units, which requires good communication skills. The clinic operates 24/7, which means that work is scheduled during the day, as well as on-call time during evenings, nights, and weekends. We offer you a solid introduction before you are ready to join the on-call line. Depending on where you are in your career, we tailor the introduction.

The Radiology Clinic is driven to be at the forefront and encourages research and further development. Therefore, we provide you as an employee interested in advanced academic studies the opportunity to apply for our master's program that offers 25% paid study time over a 4-year period. For those interested in pursuing a doctorate, there is an opportunity to do so during 50% paid working time.

We continuously work on projects aimed at finding new technical solutions and are currently conducting several development projects.

Work Group

The clinic has about 230 employees including radiologists, radiology nurses, nursing assistants, and healthcare administrators. We have a high level of research activity with several master's students, doctoral candidates, and PhD radiology nurses, as well as one of Sweden’s few associate professors with a background in radiology nursing.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Previous experience in emergency care and/or working in a 24/7 operation is advantageous.

As you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. As a person, you possess good communication skills and are motivated by good teamwork. You have a strategic mindset and the ability to see the big picture. You act and make decisions with good judgment and quality awareness. For this position, we are looking for someone who is flexible. Flexibility with us means being able to adapt to the current situation and change focus, which is crucial as unpredictable events occur daily.

We work closely together and need to have good communication to successfully solve the tasks we face in everyday life. Therefore, the position suits you who thrive on collaboration and are attentive and communicative.
