The Sankt Ansgar Foundation was established in 1949 to build a student residence in Uppsala with a church where Sunday services would be held according to the Church of Sweden's order and to maintain a daily prayer life. The construction plans were realized on Studentvägen through the Ansgarsgården Foundation. Ansgarsgården today consists of three main buildings – a church and two residential buildings with 114 rental contracts.

Job Description

Property Manager

• plans operations, maintenance, and development of the foundation's properties in consultation with the director

• independently performs ongoing tasks required for the daily operation of the properties and carries out minor maintenance and repairs

• orders the services required for operation and maintenance

• receives reports of faults

• inspects residences in connection with move-outs

• makes purchases, runs errands, and performs various other tasks as instructed

The Ansgarsgården Foundation and the Sankt Ansgar Foundation have few employees, and in addition to these main tasks, there will be a number of smaller tasks of varying nature.

Qualifications for the Position

Applicants are expected to have:

• documented experience in property management and knowledge of applicable regulations

• basic computer skills (email, Word, Excel)

• a developed ability to prioritize and to work independently, flexibly, and in a structured manner

• a driver's license and access to a car

The position requires good social skills and the ability to meet people. Knowledge of church life in the Sankt Ansgar tradition and experience in parish work is advantageous. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
