Medical Technology (MT) is a department within the unit of Medical Technology and IT (MIT). MIT is responsible for both medical technology products and IT operations in Region Dalarna. MT handles medical technology products in both hardware and software, and the part of MT that works with medical equipment has about 40 employees located at the hospitals in Falun, Mora, Ludvika, and Avesta.

We offer an exciting workplace with varied tasks within the medical technology field, and you will work together with a cheerful team of medical technicians in the ALMA group (General Medical Equipment). The tasks range from large to small, primarily preventive maintenance and repair, but also quite a bit of purchasing, installation of new equipment, and dismantling of outdated apparatus.

The primary location for the position is Falun. Since the work area is county-wide, there are frequent assignments that involve travel by car. For this position, the work will primarily be performed at municipalities within the county (schools, nursing homes, etc.) as well as at healthcare centers that do not belong to the region (private healthcare centers).

Your initial time will consist of an introduction in the form of practical work alongside us in the group. You will receive supplementary training and overviews for different technical areas and device models.

Qualifications

General requirements:

• Technical education and/or practical experience in electricity, electronics, or mechanics.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written, to be able to benefit from service training and to read and understand documentation in English.
• Driving license B (Manual)

Meritorious:

• Medical technology education.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or degree from higher education.
• Experience with medical technology equipment.
• Experience in practical service work (e.g., electricity, mechanics, electronics).
• Experience working directly with customers/customer-oriented operations.
• Competence in measurement technology.
• Basic IT skills.

The position requires you to be proactive and have an easy time working independently while seeing clear value in seeking support from your colleagues when needed. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities.
